Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong has sponsored a Bill for entrepreneural centres for agricultural science graduates.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser Media
Makut Macham, said the bill was read by Clerk of the Senate during plenary session presided by Deputy Senate President Senator Barau Jibrin on Thursday.
He said the Bill when passed is expected to address the issue of unemployment and jobs using the agricultural sector where graduates of Nigerian Agricultural Institutions and Colleges will create opportunities in line with their training and research.

Senator Lalong who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Agricultural Institutions and Colleges seeks to ensure that all research findings and experiments generated by Agricultural Institutions and Colleges are turned into entrepreneurship opportunities.
He believes that the agricultural sector has the capacity to create entrepreneurs with sufficient knowledge and skills to harness Nigeria’s vast agricultural potentials and diversity the economy.
Besides, the Senator has continued to emphasise that developing the agricultural sector through cutting edge research and adoption of modern farming methods remains the fastest way to get Nigerians out of unemployment.

Senator Lalong is optimistic that the Bill will receive wide acceptance and passage from his colleagues after due diligence and eventually be assented to by President Bola Tinubu.
