The only female member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, has once again demonstrated her commitment to grassroots empowerment by distributing relief materials worth millions of naira to constituents in Nasarawa Central Constituency.
The distribution exercise, which took place on Saturday at the Nasarawa Local Government Council Secretariat, saw beneficiaries receive a wide range of items aimed at easing economic hardship and improving livelihoods.
Items distributed included 10 motorcycles, 10 solar-powered street lights, 200 bags of rice for the Christmas celebration, and 100 wrappers presented to Christian widows. In addition, a scholarship grant of ₦20,000 each was awarded to 200 students of tertiary institutions drawn from the constituency.
The intervention, christened “Talafin Tafisu,” marks the ninth empowerment programme organised by the lawmaker since assuming office. Dr. Danyaro explained that the initiative was designed to fulfil her campaign promises of providing succour and relief to constituents, irrespective of political affiliation or religious belief.
Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs, Dr. Danyaro attributed the success of her interventions to the support of her constituents and the peaceful atmosphere fostered by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule. She urged residents to continue supporting the government to sustain development across the state.
She reaffirmed her resolve to utilise her remaining years in the hallowed chamber to contribute to people-oriented legislation, while scaling up interventions in clean water supply, healthcare, education, and women empowerment.
Speaking at the event, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including representatives of the party’s state leadership and the Nasarawa Local Government Council, commended the lawmaker for making the party proud through her outstanding representation and philanthropic gestures
.Other APC stakeholders, including former council officials and community leaders, described Dr. Danyaro as an asset to the party, noting that she has surpassed the achievements of her predecessors. They stressed that her performance further reinforces confidence in women’s leadership

Beneficiaries of the programme expressed gratitude for the gesture and pledged continued support for the lawmaker beyond 2027.
