Senator Shehu Umar is uniquely different in several ways. He has always not taken any challenge faced by members of his constituency lightly. He has always been there for them individually and collectively no matter their political, tribe and religious divide.
He has passion for reaching out to the less privileged in the society no matter who is involved. Recently, he was said to have taken a bold step to alleviate the challenges faced by his constituents especially in the wake of the removal of fuel subsidy that has thrown many Nigerians into untold hardship.

Apart from palliatives being promised by various levels of government, the Senator was said to have personally orchestrated a far reaching humanitarian effort that has garnered immense appreciation from the people of his district.
The Senator’s latest initiative involves the distribution of essential food supplies across the six local governments within the Bauchi South Senatorial District.

The local governments benefiting from this generous act of support are Alkaleri, Bauchi, Bogoro, Dass, Tafawa-Balewa, and Toro.
The move comes at a time when communities are grappling with the impact of various challenges, including the aftermath of the global pandemic and the recent removal of fuel subsidies.

It was reported that residents across the district have responded with overwhelming gratitude for the senator’s efforts. So far, within his less than one year in the nation’s apex lawmaking body, he was said to have among others given out over 5,000 bags of rice, 100 solar panels, two cars and 10 motorcycles.

In the jnust concluded Ramadan fast the Senator had Pallition Consignment of 29, 500 bags of rice, millet and sugar made up of over 16 trailer trucks load worth about N500 million has its distribution to constituents of Bauchi south senatorial district Sunday flagged-off by Senator Shehu Buba Umar admist jubilations by party henchmen.

The food item included 3, 000 bags of millet with 80 measures each, 13, 000 bags of Millet of 10kg each, Rice 3, 000 bags of 50kg, Rice of 10kg 4, 500 bags; Sugar 500 bags of 50kg, Sugar 6, 000 bags of 10kg, totalling 29, 500 bags, equivalent to 16 trailer trucks load plus,
His actions have reinforced a sense of unity and hope within this constituency showcasing the positive impact that dedicated leadership can have.
“As news of Senator Umar’s compassionate endeavor spreads throughout the district, the sentiment of appreciation continues to grow.

The residents of Alkaleri, Bauchi, Bogoro, Dass, Tafawa-Balewa, and Toro Local Governments are united in their admiration for his selfless actions, and they have expressed their gratitude through prayers and well-wishes.

Senator Shehu Umar Buba who represents Bauchi South Senatorial District of Bauchi state at the National Assembly was born in 1977 in Bauchi state.

Senator Buba who is also a philanthropist to the core obtained his primary and secondary education in his hometown Toro the headquarters of Toro LGA bin Bauchi state, before proceeding to the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Kaduna state where he studied law.

He graduated from the university with a degree in law and was called to the bar in 2002. Senator Umar also got his Bachelor of

Education from the University of Jos, Plateau state.
He is a successful businessman and has interest in several sectors of the Nigerian economy.

In 2003, he emerged as the Bauchi South Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the 2023 general elections following a successful primary election and he also won the general election as senator of the federal republic of Nigeria.
