The Executive Chairman. of Toto LGA in Nasarawa State, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, has signed into law the 2025 budget of Redemption passed by the legislative council.
The council boss while signing the budget into law appreciated the legislative arm for speedy passage of the council’s appropriation bill.
Yahaya said that speedy passage of the bill indicated a good synergy between the executive and the legislative arm of the council.
” With the passage of the bill into law, it will fast track execution of people oriented projects.
” By God’s grace, I will deliver the much needed dividends of democracy to our people at the grassroots” he said.
He urged the citizens of the area to be loyal and supportive to his government and that of Gov. Abdullahi Sule.
” Let embrace one another and shun any act capable of causing disunity.
” Let’s channel any grievances to the appropriate authorities for amicable resolutions in the interest of unity and peace” he said.
The council boss commended Gov. Sule for his developmental strides in the state.
It would be reported that the chairman after assenting to the budget into law in his office held a closed door meeting with his council members.
Those in attendance included Deputy Chairman, Council Secretary, Heads of Departments and the representative of zonal auditor, where they approved projects to be executed immediately.
In a related development, the Executive Chairman has hosted Gbagyi Village Heads and their entourage in his office.
The leader of the delegation, Alh. Ayuba Azaki, the Village Head of Gbagyi in Gadabuke said the visit was to congratulate and assured the Chairman of their loyalty and support to him to succeed .
He commended the Council Boss for his proactive measures in promoting peace and security in the area.
” We as people will continue to be loyal and supportive to your policies and programme,” he said.
The village head prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom and protection throughout his tenure.
Responding, the chairman appreciated the village heads for the visit and pledged to operate all inclusive leadership for development to thrive in the area.
