The Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly and Vice Chairman (North Central) Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, Chief Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has received top opposition politicians and their supporters defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Tarka Local Government Area.
The decampees were led in to the APC by former Chairmen of Tarka Local Government, including Hon. Emmanuel Iortyer, Hon. Peter Kwgahfan, Hon. Steven Kpev, Hon. Ujila Peter, Hon. Benedict Hyundu, Hon. Mongolo Tange, Hon. Yagun Orduen and President Jemgbagh Youth Hon. Terkula Azua.
Receiving the decampees, the Speaker charged them to be committed, dedicated and loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, while also urging them to propagate the good policies and programmes of the APC-led government in the state.
He assured the decampees of equal opportunities and treatment, stating that they will be fully integrated into the All Progressives Congress (APC) fold, with no discrimination and that their rights and privileges as party members will be highly respected and protected.

Chairman of the Benue State APC Unity Caretaker Committee, Benjamin Omale, believes that the thousands of decampees who recently joined the APC have seen the light and truth of Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration.
He urged the people to support Governor Alia, emphasizing that his administration has earned the trust of the people through good governance, infrastructural development, and bold leadership.

Chairman, Tarka Local Government Hon. Raphael Yenge, expressed gratitude to the decampees for joining him in supporting Governor Alia, assuring them that the Governor will not disappoint the people of Mbakor. He emphasized the importance of unity and called for continued support.
