Krestnews reports from Bauchi says Nine commercial motorcyclists, popularly called ‘Going’ travelling from Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State to Lafia in Nasarawa, have been reported missing in Plateau State.

The youths were said to be on their way to Lafia for commercial motorcycle business before their families and friends lose with them since Saturday, February 3.

The Caretaker Chairman of Kirfi LGA, Alhaji Abdulkadir Umar Dewu, confirmed their disappearance to journalists in Bauchi on Tuesday, February 6.

He stated that there had been no communication with the missing persons for three days, adding that efforts are underway to locate their whereabouts.

Also speaking to journalists, some parents of the missing youths expressed fear for the worse, urging authorities to assist in tracing the whereabout of the children and returned them back.

Recounting the disappearance of their loved ones, some of the parents stated in an interview with journalists that their children were stopped by security operatives on their way to Jos due to a rerun election held that Saturday.

The parents, that spoke were Abdulhamidu Mohammed, Unguwar Gawo Kirfi, Suleiman Salihu Unguwar Gawo, and Kuma Mallam Rufai Ibrahim, said they were subsequently instructed to stay overnight at Jagab’s filling station before continuing their trip the next day.

However, communication with them ceased at 6 pm, and their phones has remained unreachable for three days now.

The parents said they have reported to the security agencies and the relevant authorities; praying to God to help them find their missing children.
