The Executive Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, Hon. Muhammad Musa Dan’azimi (Barayan Daddare) has expressed dissatisfaction with the high level of truancy and laxity to duty being exhibited staff of SUBEB staff.

Addressing Head of Units, Deputy and Assistant Directors of the various departments at the Board Headquarters Shendam Road Lafia, warmed that indiscipline would no longer be tolerated.

A press statement by the public relations Officer of the Agency, Gana Lawal Ahmed say the Chairman was represented at the briefing by the Board Secretary, Hajiya Hashiya Ahmed.

He explained that the Board’s meeting with Head of Units, Deputy and Assistant Directors has confirmed the high level of truancy and laxity to work by SUBEB staff which have attracted the attention of Executive Chairman,Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board and the general public.

The Chief Executive Officer, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, expressed disappointment about the lukewarm attitude of staff to their constitutional responsibilities.

He has observed with dismay the continued staff laxity to work early closure and absenteeism.

Dan’azimi, also emphasis the importance of coming to work on time and regularly as well as entering their names in the departmental registers put in place by their departments.

Dan’azimi, said this decimal situation is highly against the principle of service delivery and shall no longer be tolerated.

He advised the staff of the Board to desist from such negative acts as any erring staff would be punished in accordance with the subsisting civil service rules and regulations.

The Nsubeb boss called on the Head of Units, Deputy and Assistant Directors of the Board to imbibe the virtues of courage, trust, commitment and competence in their day- to- day activities, saying the service must maintain its reform Programme to remain relevant.

The Deputy Director, Planning, Research and Statistics of the board, Alh. Musa Babanmu Doma, thanked the Executive Chairman and his Management team for organising the meeting, saying it benefit the board in no small measure as it serves as wake up call to the staff of the Board and Nasarawa State child.

He added that the meeting was had been very educative and appealed for sustenance of the meeting in a more regular basis.

According to the statement, the meeting was called shortly after having a stakeholders meeting held with the Education Secretaries of all the Local Government and Development Education Authorities on Pupils low enrolment in public primary schools in the state.

The statement also disclosed that the meeting was concluded with the inauguration of Junior Staff Committee
