The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation has announced a high-level Roundtable on Northern Nigeria Youth Development, set to take place on November 19th and 20th, 2024, in Abuja.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Dr. Abubakar Umar, the Director-General of the Foundation, and made available on Thursday in Kaduna.

The event will address the critical challenges facing the youth in Northern Nigeria and foster collaborative efforts among key stakeholders.

In a press briefing, the Director-General, Dr . Abubakar Umar, underscored the urgency of tackling these issues, saying, “The numerous challenges affecting our youth make it crucial for stakeholders to unite.

According to him, this roundtable will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and sustainable solutions.”

The two-day event will bring together representatives from government, civil society, religious and traditional leaders, academia, and, most importantly, the youth.

This inclusive approach aims to ensure that young people’s voices are central to the discussions.

He noted that, ,the Key areas of focus during the roundtable include education, employment, skills training, health, and social empowerment.

The goal is to develop actionable strategies that can be implemented at both local and national levels.

The Foundation also extends an open invitation to all interested parties to participate in shaping the future of Northern Nigeria’s youth.

The event promises to lay the groundwork for a brighter and more sustainable future for the next generation.
