Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Simon Bako Lalong has condoled the people of Bokkos over the recent attacks on Daffo and Kwatas villages which claimed lives and led to casualties.
Lalong while commiserating with the families of the victims said the attacks continue to constitute a threat to development of the area and the State at large as economic and social life is negatively impacted.
He called on security agencies to step up and increase surveillance and response to thwart any attempt to terrorise innocent citizens particularly as agricultural activities are under serious threat.
Lalong who disclosed this in statement through his
Special Adviser Media Dr. Makut Macham, said the renewed attacks which appear to be coordinated must be dealt with holistically by ensuring that those behind it are apprehended and dealt with.
He called on the communities to continue to strengthen local surveillance, vigilance and collaboration with security agencies to establish lasting peace and security.
He also called on government to address the plight of the survivors and carry out relevant interventions to bring succour to the victims.
