After five days of high-intensity action featuring 18 teams across the political wards of the Ikeja Federal Constituency, the 2025 Renewed Hope Basketball Tournament has produced its final contenders.
The maiden edition of the tournament—sponsored by Olawale Fadare, Personal Assistant on General Duties to President Bola Tinubu, with support from Young Professionals for Tinubu (YP4T)—has kept fans on the edge of their seats at the Police College Basketball Court, Ikeja.
In Thursday’s semifinals, Hoops & Read outclassed Ebun Comets 35–28, while Cantonment Braves overpowered Bobcats 47–28, setting the stage for a thrilling final clash.
The grand finale, scheduled for Saturday at the same venue, will kick off with the third-place playoff between Ebun Comets and Bobcats before the much-anticipated final.
Tournament Coordinator, Kenneth Agba, assured fans of a top-tier experience, promising “a fun-filled, electrifying basketball event with premium organisation.”
