Former Controller of Department of Petroleum Resources ( DPR) in Niger State Engineer Abdullahi Isah Jankara has urged government to give priority to investment in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) insisting that continued investing in Petroleum would soon become wasteful.

Jankara stated this Wednesday while speaking at the reception organized for the retiring Niger state Coordinator of Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) Minna Field Office, Alhaji Ahmed Emimaru

He said, ” oil and gas are volutile and dynamic hence there is the need to think outside box by investing in CNG because continued investment in petroleum will soon become a waste”.

He called on NMDPRA to properly sensitise and guide marketers on current situation of the industry, adding that there is high expectation on the industry to perform optimally to alleviate the sufferings of Nigeria.

Jankara described the ritiree as a very humble person, team player, dedicated and committed staff whose humility is very exceptional.

In a remark, the retiree, Alhaji Ahmed Emimaru expressed gratitude to God and Nigerians for the opportunity to serve and retirement ingood health.

He said, “I will return to farming, I was a farmer before joining the organization”
