Plateau State Commissioner of Commerce Musa Sule has outlined what it terms progressive economic development of the State so far under the Governor Mutfwang Administration .
The Commissioner disclosed this at the continuation of the 2024 Ministerial briefing organized by the Plateau State Ministry of Information and Communication in Jos.
Notable among these milestones is the Ministerial visit to the Plateau DUNCAN Fertilizer Blending Plant in Larwin, Barkin ladi, where they actively participated in the launching of assorted fertilizers and the official opening of the plant.
He also highlighted the visits to key industrial sites such as the Cassava Processing Plant in Gakok-Kuru, Jos, and the premises of Jos International Brewery PLC, underscoring the Ministry’s commitment to promoting diverse sectors of the economy.
Sule emphasized the importance of fostering partnerships and collaboration, as evidenced by the interactive sessions held with officials and members of Farmers Association, Bank of Industry (BOI), aimed at energizing the promotion of export crops and enhancing agricultural productivity.
He enumerated the Ministry’s active participation in events like the Kastina International Trade Fair in February 2024 where it showcased Plateau’s economic potential and investment opportunities in the state.
Sule outlined future plans and initiatives of the Ministry to include the establishment of a Potato Processing Plant at Gakok-Kuru and the relocation of the Cassava Processing Plant to the Southern zone, following approval by the immediate past government.
The Commissioner also underscored the importance of supporting cooperative societies and creating a databank for investment and industrial potentials, demonstrating the Ministry’s commitment to inclusive economic growth.
He reiterated the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to driving economic growth, fostering industrial development, and creating a conducive business environment on the Plateau. The Ministry looks forward to continued collaboration and support from stakeholders in achieving its objectives.

“The Ministry together with Consultants undertook a visit to the proposed site for the International Market around Police Staff College Zawan and another site along Kuru and Foron junction. Perimeter survey was done. The land is covering 69.5 Hectres. The ministry articipated at Annual National Council on Trade and Investment in Katsina State”; the commissioner said.
