Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has reiterated his administration’s commitment to collaborating with foreign partners to foster steady development in Plateau State.
Governor Mutfwang stated this when he received a Joint Technical Support Mission in the state on Tuesday in Jos, the State capital.
In a statement signed by Martha Nyam,
Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor said the Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Josephine Piyo, disclosed that the State Government had paid N610 million as counterpart funding to Development Partners toward ensuring adequate and potable drinking water in the state.
Governor Mutfwang reassured the team of maximum cooperation and a conducive environment to operate effectively.
He added that the State Government will ensure that all counterpart funds are paid to achieve the desired results, particularly in the area of water, food security, and other critical areas.

Governor Mutfwang described the visit of the team as timely considering the development revolution that is taking place in the State.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr Muhammadu Diarra, disclosed that the team was in Plateau to review and assess the water programme in the State, identify the challenges with a view to proffering solutions as well as make recommendations.
Diarra commended the state government for the timely release of counterpart funding, adding that the strong political will of the government would bring about development and growth.
