Platea State HIV/AIDS STIs Control Programme (SASCP), led by State Coordinator Mrs. Maria Pawa, organized a week-long PMTCT training for selected healthcare workers across Plateau State’s 17 LGAs focusing on preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV/AIDS.
Speaking during the training, Mrs. Pawa emphasized the importance of the training in reducing Plateau State’s HIV/AIDS prevalence rate.
Honourable Commissioner of Health, Dr. Shurkuk Cletus Bako who attended the training, praised participants for their commitment and pointed that that was an opportunity to write their names in gold as the training seeks to position them in saving more lives.
Dr. Shurkuk reiterated the Plateau State Hovernment’s dedication to prioritizing healthcare in the State, noting substantial efforts is already ongoing.
