Ahead of the soon planned Local Government elections in Plateau State, the Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Shendam LGA of the state, Hon. Dr Kemi Nicholas Nshe has received a massive reception by his people as he flags off his campaigns.

Nshe who stormed his Local Government was ealier received by a group of youth at Baban Lamba,who led him to a warm welcome from PDP supporters, stakeholders and women of Shendam irrespective tribes, religious and party affiliation.

While demonstrating his constant humility, loyalty and respect for tradition, Nshe, paid homage to the most respect traditional Ruler in Shendam His Royal Highness the Long Gamai, who is also the Deputy Chairman of Plateau State traditional rulers at his Palace to seek for royal blessings from his immediate community.

While flagging off his campaigns at the Shendam Mini stadium, Nshe addressed an agog of supporters and party faithful, showcasing his connection with the people who were excited to receive their leader and by showing solidarity to him.

He passionately appealed to Shendam citizens to please put divisions and embrace peace to work together for the progress of their land and nation as a whole and to also sustain their pride.

While reflecting on his previous tenure as Chairman of Shendam Local Government Area, and his administration’s accomplishments, he assured the people that his return to office would mean a continuation and expansion of developmental strides such as Agricultural Transformation, Infrastructural Development. Adding that focus would also be on empowering of youths and women who are bed rock of the society by providing them with opportunities for growth and development.

He explained that for proper developmental strides to take place, there must be peace, he then emphasized the need for peace and unity as an essential opportunity for sustainable development in the local government area.

Nshe said “Governor Caleb Mutfwang has come to unite Plateau State and bring smiles to the people. The unfortunate events of the past should now remain in the past”

He urged PDP members to support the party’s mission of fostering stability and progress in Shendam, saying it is time for all to come together and build the party and Shendam Local Government.

He emphasized “I want to assure you all that we are committed to the progress of Shendam, there are numerous projects that already have been accomplished, and many more are in the pipeline, if elected on the 9th October, we will work to put smiles on the face of the masses”.

“Arrangement has already been concluded, and with the African Development Bank and other partners set to come and stay in Shendam, we will be farming rice three times a year”.

Nshe pledged continues development if elected back to the council, saying his administration will be committed to the people of Shendam. “We have no reason to fail, and no reason not to support it”

Kemi Nshe also promised to collaborate with traditional leaders and other stakeholders to succeed and to also promote peace as which is the yard stick to any development in the society.

Our correspondent reports that Nshe’s leadership skills started as the leader of medical and health workers in Plateau State, he served two tenures as the local government council Chairman and also the interim Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Shendam.

During the flag off, Some PDP stakeholders expressed optimism about Dr. Nshe’s prospects in the polls, citing his track records of his past leadership attributed as key factors to his office.

Earlier, his political alley Charlse Adidi said he had no doubt that Nshe has every ability to transform Shendam better than what has done and solicited more support for his success in the forth coming elections.

On his part, the Former Majority Leader of the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Henry Yunkwap and Former Commissioner of Urban Development Hon. Alex Yola Kwapnoe, described the Chairmanship candidate as a man of the people and one who is committed by his words and works.

Kwapnoe who recently defected to the PDP from the Labour Party described Nshe as one who touches lives, whether indigene of the land or not” adding that he doesn’t descriminate.

“I’m confident that Kemi is going to win this election because he has proven himself as a leader who delivers” he added.

Kwapnoe urged residents to endorse the PDP’s candidate and developmental agenda for Shendam Local Government Council.

Our correspondent gathered people had came out in their thousands from various communities the previous day to receive him, but the pland was rescheduled and they couldn’t stay to receive their, but assured Nshe their votes cannot be contest against by others because they see him as the bull dozer of their time.

Various musical artists took turns to display their favorite songs in support of his candidature as the leader suitable for Shendam Local Government Area.
