Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Lalong has admonished APC stalwarts in the state to put behind them any differences and work together for the progress of the party and towards closing ranks.
He gave admonition in his continued engagements when he met with more groups including former members of State and Federal Legislature, Secretaries to Government and Chiefs of Staff, former Special Advisers, Former Chairmen and Members of Boards and Parastatals, former Heads of Agencies and Parastatals, former members of the Defunct PCC, and APC Local Government Candidates.

Senator Lalong, in a statement through his Special adviser media, Dr. Makut Macham in Jos, on Friday, 4th April, 2025, said the meeting was part of the interaction with party structure in the state to deliberate and exchange views on happenings within the party with a view to strengthening it.
He thanked them for sustaining the party at the grassroots by continous engagement with members.

Lalong briefed them on developments at the national level reassuring them that President Bola Tinubu is committed to ensuring that the APC remains very strong in Plateau State and also reclaim power in 2027.
He told them that the APC leadership at the national level has also resolved to strengthen all its structures across the country in order to consolidate and serve the people better.
Former Secretary to Government of the State Prof. Danladi Abok Atu, Member Representing Langtang North/Langtang South Hon. Bulus Venman, former Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Peter Azi among others acknowledged the capacity of Senator Lalong in providing leadership to the party.
They commended his efforts in galvanising members together and fostering unity which is key to the successes of the party.

They suggested that more consultations and interactions should be carried out to encourage members and ensure that the party performs creditably in future contests.(www.krestnews.com).
