The Executive Council and Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Plateau State has congratulated Caleb Mufwang on his recent victory at the Supreme Court which upheld his election as the duly elected Governor of Plateau State.
A statement jointly signed by the Council Chairman and Secretary, Ayuku Pwaspo and Mary Domtur, respectively, said the verdict of last Friday has put to rest all litigations and provides an opportunity for the administration to settle down to business and to also provide quality leadership and services in all sectors of the economy as well as to improve on the security architecture of the State.
The statement explained that the opportunity will also enable the government to work towards a united, prosperous and inclusive Plateau that will serve as a reference point to other states of the federation.
The NUJ called on Governor Mutfwang to embrace all sections of the State irrespective of party differences, tribe or religion in delivering good governance to the good people of Plateau who voted him overwhelmingly at the last general elections.
It maintained that the union has no doubt that “The time is now” administration will deliver on its campaign promises which can be seen in the ongoing road rehabilitations across the State, the prompt payment of salaries and pensions among others.
