The Nasarawa United Football Club (FC) of Lafia, has played goalless draw with the visiting Ikorodu City Football Club (FC) of Lagos in a match day 24 fixture of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

The match played on Saturday at the Lafia Township Stadium, was played behind closed doors as a result of a band placed by the NPFL Board.

Nasarawa site, currently ranked 19th with 23 points, was looking to bounce back and escape relegation, while Ikorodu boys, currently sitting 6th in the league with 35 points, aimed to continue their strong performance.

The draw was a testament to the evenly game, with both sides creating scoring opportunities throughout the game.

Although Nasarawa Utd has struggled at home, they managed to hold off Ikorodu City’s attacks and secure a valuable point.

Speaking at the post-match interview, the Head Coach of Ikorodu FC, Nurudeen Aweroro expressed satisfaction with the performance of his boys despite the draw.

He said that his boys had played to instructions and expressed confidence to do better in the subsequent games to move to the top of the NPFL table. (www.krestnews.com).
