The Nasarawa State Correspondent of New National Star Newspaper, Francis Nansak is set to launch a six chapter book written in appreciation of his secondary school as an old boy ,on 29th November 2024.
He said the intention is to exhumed the history of active principal officers, set head boys, prefects and the efforts of the founding fathers and leave a foot print on the upcoming Langtang Old Students Association (LAOSAN) and with a sense of belonging to know that away from who they are, the school has produced men and women of national recognition, who included academc professors, army generals and politicians who have made qualitative contributions to national development.
The event which is scheduled for 29th November will be chaired by Naval Commodore Alexander Lohnan a retired naval officer while Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada ,senator representing Nasarawa West, who is also the Senate chairman public account as the chief launcher.
The Emir of Keffi Dr Shehu Usman Chindo Yamusa (III) Ponzhi Tarok and the Chief of Gindiri are Royal fathers of the day.
According to the author,the book is not targeted at enriching himself but as an alumni of Government Secondary School Langtang, Plateau State North Central Nigeria, he deem it fit to give back to the school, by exhuming the contributions of the founding fathers, principals and the various prefects that aided the successful administration of the school over Fifty ears ago.
The book, tittled : THE ANNALS OF CSS/GSSL, REFLECTION OF YESTERYEARS, TODAY AND TOMORROW will be launched on 29th November at the NUJ Press Center, Lafia under the Chairmanship of Naval Commodore Alexander Lohnan Nimyel, expectedly the Governor of Nasarawa State,Engineer Abdullahi Sule will be Special Guest of Honour along side Senator AVM Napoleon Bali, Honourable Beni Lar, Senator Victor R. Lar, among other illustrious sons and daughters of Plateau State.
The book will be presented and review by Lt Col Ayuba Nandang and Honourable Bishop Musa L. Wuyep respectively, while the National President LAOSA,Barrister Ponyak Nandang is Host and the Governor of Plateau State,Barrister Caleb Manasseh is the Chief Host.
The forward was written by Prince Luka B. Yarling (TPL) who brought in flesh about the book, as it challenges old boys not just of Langtang Old Students Association (LAOSA) but across Plateau and in the country to think outside the box and add value to education.
