The Nasarawa Utd secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Plateau Utd in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 33 fixture.
The match played at the Lafia Township Stadium, saw Anas Yusuf, the leading scorer in the NPFL, open the scoring for Nasarawa Utd in the 22nd minute, his 15th goal of the season.
Ugochukwu Leonard scored twice for the solid miners, in the 54th and 74th minutes, sealing the win for the home team.

Plateau Utd’s Vincent Temitope and Samuel Pam scored in the 58th and 94th minutes (4 minutes into extra time), but it was too late to change the outcome.
The win boosted Nasarawa Utd’s hope, propelling them to 14th place with 42 points while Plateau Utd remained in 13th place with the same number of points.
In a post-match interview, Nasarawa Utd. Head coach Yusuf Salisu appreciated his boys for keeping to instructions and the win.
