The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has reiterated the need for deeper religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and unity among residents of the state, stressing that development can only flourish where harmony prevails.

Dr. Jatau made the call during the Investiture Ceremony of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Agwada Battalion Council, where he was formally decorated as the Grand Patron.

The ceremony, held at ECWA Church, Agwada Area Administrative Council, showcased the Speaker’s longstanding support for faith-based organizations and youth-oriented initiatives in the state.

Presenting him with a certificate and symbol of authority, the President of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Nasarawa State Council, Hon. Akolo Success Ahmed, commended the Speaker for his exceptional contributions to the growth of the brigade and his consistent encouragement of religious activities.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Jatau expressed gratitude to the Boys’ Brigade for the honour, pledging continued support for the battalion’s programmes and urging members to remain steadfast in promoting peace, moral values, and unity.

Before the investiture, the Speaker inspected the battalion’s quarter guard, where he encouraged members to remain committed to evangelism and the promotion of harmony within their communities.
