Member representing Awe North Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Hudu A. Hudu, has unveiled a comprehensive N50 million empowerment programme aimed at improving the lives of his constituents as part of activities marking his two years in office.

Speaking at the launch held at the Emir’s Palace in Awe on Saturday, the lawmaker said the initiatives were part of his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises and delivering meaningful democratic dividends. Hudu, who also chairs the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, reaffirmed his dedication to policies that directly impact the welfare of his people.

The programme featured a wide range of interventions, including the empowerment of 600 women with various vocational skills, scholarships for over 300 students, and the commissioning of 10 motorized boreholes across Awe North communities.

Other projects launched include the provision of 10 sound systems to political groups, a free medical outreach with drugs for more than 300 patients, and the installation of solar streetlights in over 60 villages.

The event attracted senior government officials, party leaders, and lawmakers who praised Hon. Hudu’s performance. Representing the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe, Special Adviser Hon. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali lauded Hudu as an asset to the ruling APC and pledged continued support from the government. State APC Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, also commended the lawmaker’s efforts.

Similarly, Member of the House of Representatives for Doma/Keana/Awe, Hon. Abubakar Nalaraba, former federal lawmaker Dr. Hashimu, and several members of the State Assembly applauded Hudu’s achievements, describing his leadership as impactful and exemplary.

Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation, noting that the programmes have brought relief and opportunities to many households. They prayed for God’s blessings upon the lawmaker and pledged their continued support beyond 2027.
