Hon. Ovye (PDP) who is the Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources said that the provision of the transformer was to boost power supply and socio economic activities in the people of the area.

” I have provided this transformer in order to restore power supply in this area and to boost their socio-economic activities.

” By God’s grace, I will continue to key into more different policies and programmes that will improve on the standard of living of my people,” he said.

The lawmaker also pledged continued sound and quality representation at the state legislature.

It would be reported that hundreds of households in the ward have been without power supply for over a year following the breakdown of a transformer located at the Low Cost Housing Estate of Keffi.

The affected areas of the ward include Angwan Rama, Angwan Mada-West Side, Keffi Main Garage, Yan Awaki, Angwan Gwaza and some part of Low Cost Housing Estate among others.

It would be also reported that the donation of the 500 KVA transformer was characterized with widespread jubilation in the affected areas as residents lauded the lawmaker for addressing their prolonged plights praying God to bless him abundantly.
