Nasarawa lawmaker, Dr Akwe distributes 400 tricycles, cash, other walking aids to disabled persons in his constituency.

Dr. Akwe, the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture while distributing the tricycles today in Obi urged the beneficiaries to use them to support their movements and productivity in the society.

He said that the gesture was aimed at giving people living with some forms of disability a society as a recognition of their support during elections.

” This gesture is a deliberate effort to right the wrongs of non inclusion of people living with disabilities in programs, more policies are on the pipeline for them

“Today I have distributed 300 handicapped tricycles, 100 crutches, modern walking sticks and cash to my constituents” he said.

He also distributed cash to the beneficiaries with assurance to continue to roll out policies and programmes that would address the yearnings of his constituents.

The lawmaker assured of continous quality representation at the state legislature.

” You have seen what I have done and still doing in order to improve on your standard of living

” By God”s grace, I will continue to key into positive policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on your lives,” he added.

Hon Akwe solicited for prayers and support from all and sundry to enable him succeed.

He said he has taken statistics of clusters of people living with disabilities for intervention and this is already yielding results.

Some lawmakers from the State House of Assembly also benefited from the gesture who will in turn assist their constituents with the items.

Krestnews reports that the beneficiaries rode away happily on their gift handicapped tricycles with joy and appreciated the lawmaker for the gesture praying God to reward him.
