The All Progressive Congress, APC, has threatened to evoke disciplinary measures on fifth columnist operating in their midst as members.
A statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary of the Party in the State, Chief Otaru Douglas warn those though claim to be members make comments and conduct acts that are injurious to the party philosophy and especially against the Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule.
The statement reads: “A note of caution to rabble rousers who go about with uncomplimentary Statements against the noble office of the the Executive Governor”, and stressed that the party expects 100% loyalty to the party, the Governor and all government policies and program’mes
Chief Otaru,in the statement, wondered how one claims to be a member of the party yet does not support neither the governor or the policies and program’mes being implemented by the APC led administration.
He said: “Elections have since come and gone, any supposed member still harbouring hate and mischief against the policies and program’mes of Engr Abdullahi A Sule will be declared persona non grata”.
He continued that”it is politically incorrect for any member of the party no matter how highly placed to continue to exhibit disdain and acts capable of denigrating the sanctity of the office of the Governor”.
Chief Otaru said “the supremacy and cohesion of the party is non negotiable, the party will not hesitate to purge itself of such misguided elements who are hiding under the glory of their former offices to cause strifes within the ranks of the party as they are often seen grandstanding on issues of state illogically all for the sake of their personal greed and thereby, posing as dangerous threats to the party”.
He said while the party is committed to assuaging the hurt feelings of the members, the continued attack of the party, the governor before the election and afterwards and the continued taunting even presently would not be tolerated.
In his words: “It should be on note that the continued unwarranted attacks on the government by those infectious bugs who viciously and flagrantly worked against the interest of the party during the elections and litigation period and still having the audacity to taunt the government in bad light will no longer be tolerated.”
Chief Otaru cautioned party members on the need to accord respect to constituted authority, uphold the ideals of the party and shun acts capable of further dividing us.
“You are either with us or against us, “it is irrational for anyone to forbid eating a particular type of meat but yet, taking delight in licking its sauce”, he said.
“As a party, we have since forgiven them of their misdeeds, but it is obvious they are yet to forgive themselves of their unholy activities. While we respect the sanctity of the party’s constitution, we wish to once again, extend our amnesty to them to become born again, refrain from desperation and work with the party for the progress of the state, failure of which will warrant the evocation of the appropriate disciplinary sanctions, the party state publicity secretary said in the statement.
