As Nigerian workers Mark this year’s International Workers Day, the PDP Governorship Candidate in 2023 general election in Nasarawa State, Hon. David Emmanuel Umbugadu has appealed to Nigerians especially the Nigeria workers not to lose hope as a result of the prevailing hardship in the country.

He has equally called the citizens not to do anything that could destroy their tomorrow assuring that the agony, hardship and other forces standing against the nation were temporal. This is even as he has expressed concern about the rising food prices and fuel scarcity in the country nothing regretting that the workers were worst hit.

Chief Ombugadu in a congratulatory statement issued and made available to newmen in Lafia Wednesday, urged Nigerians to remain steadfast, resolute, resilient and prayerful in their resolve for a better Nigeria adding that the nation stand a better chance of being great among comity of Nation’s.

According to the former Lawmaker, “Nigerians are suffering for no fault of their but because of bad governance, inconsistent and self imposed policies that were in averian with the reality on ground.

While he lamented the harsh economic situation which had been compounded by the burdens of the electricity tariff hike and high fuel pump prices as well as high cost of food items which has gone beyond the reach of the Nigeria masses, Ombugadu further urged the workers who were finding it difficult to make ends meet not to sacrifice their tomorrow as God was preparing the country for the crop of good and God fearing leaders to occupy

The 2023 governorship candidate felicitated with the Nigerian workers as they mark this years workers day urging them not to be disenchanted with the unbearable despite the economic hardship.

“The Nation will in no distance time come over the self afflicted and avoidable circumstances. Definitely Nigeria will be salvaged by raising leaders that will strengthen the arms of strategic institutions of government that are responsible for managing and repositioning the integrity of Nigeria to close the hideous gaps that has institutionalized corruption and debilitating duplicity which undermine the economy of our nation.

While urging Nigerians to keep hope alife, remain committed to the course of making the country better, the veteran journalist also urged the citizens to shum negative tendencies, pray ceaselessly for God intervention by bringing committed leaders that would take the country out of its present quagma.

“PDP is ready to drive and heal the ominous malady of our economy, i urge government at all levels to be faithful and careful in the implemented of the new minimum wage as demonstrated by the PDP governor in order that they our workers may receive a true living wage that can guarantee the agreeable life.

This if carefully and faithfully implemented will no doubt honour the commitment of the present administration.

The PDP 2023 governorship candidate who applauded the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki for increase the minimum wage of the state civil servants to N70,000 per month however said the demonstration by the PDP was an indication that the workers will still have their hope rekindled as the nation will also be great when the right people are elected to work for the people

“I join other Nigerians in applauding the exemplary patriotism and spartan resilience of the Nigerian worker especially in the face of the high cost of living for the common man in our nation.

“The alarming rate of suffering is systemic, sabotage and dubiously perpetrated by a few vested interests that are tampering with the workings of our nation’s machinery. In this wise I urged the federal and other States including the private sector to emulate pace setting of the PDP governor.
