● Told To Ensure Transparency, Due Diligence
The Executive Chairman, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, has constituted 12 member staff salary verification and authentication committee to screen and ascertain actual numbers of staff of the council.
The Executive Chairman while constituting the committee in Toto LGA, urged them to live above board while discharging their duties.
The council boss gave the committee two weeks to submit their report to the council.
He said “Most of you here I am seeing you for the first time, your appointments as committee members was based on your past records.
“I expect a thorough work devoid of personal interest, for the local government under my leadership will henceforth be guided with the expected result.
“You are to generate a reliable staff strength for efficient planning and implementation of Toto local government council” he said.
He has assured of initiating different policies and programmes that would better the standard of living of the people of the area.
The council boss also assured them of his total support to succeed.
Responding on behalf of the committee members, Mallam Adamu Danladi Maikeke, Secretary of the committee appreciated the chairman for the confidence reposed in them.
Maikeke, who is a former Clerk, Toto LGA, pledged to discharge their duties without fear or favour.
He also promised to work and abide by the terms of reference given by the Executive Chairman.
It would be reported that the inauguration had in attendance the Council Deputy Chairman, Hon. Atnadu Sunday Yakubu, Council Secretary, Alh Baba Mohammed (Alh Keke), Speaker Toto LG Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Abdulhameed Ayizimazi and Acting DPM of the council, Hajiya Maryam Bako, union leaders among others.
