President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated the Federal University of Education in Kontagora has been inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a call on students to take advantage of the students loan scheme in order to overcome their financial constraints

Speaking at the inauguration on Wednesday, the President insisted that financial constraints should not prevent any student from completing their studies.

Represented by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, President Tinubu’s said that his administrationhas prioritized education and made it a thematic area.

According to him, “education is the foundation for social transformation and development. The global shortage of teachers is a major concern, which is why the government is establishing more institutions dedicated to training teachers, aiming to fill the gaps created by brain drain”.

He said, “I therefore encourage students to take advantage of the student loan program to support their education, financial constraints should not prevent any student from completing their studies”.

In a remark Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government for their dedication to advancing education in Nigeria.

He explained that the Federal University of Education will significantly impact on the educational landscape of Niger State and Nigeria in general, adding that “this university is a beacon of hope, promising to shape the future of our nation by training well-equipped educators who will inspire generations”.

The governor who was represented by the Special Adviser Governance and Reform Dr. Isah Adamu noted that the new institution is not only an academic center but a hub for intellectual growth, research, and innovation.
