A coalition of Southern Kaduna youths has condemned a smear campaign against Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, accusing detractors of selfish motives

The group’s coordinator, Luke Duniya Augustine, highlighted the senator’s achievements within his first year as helping in addressing security situation in the zone, healthcare initiatives, and provision of educational support.

Augustine praised Senator Katung’s collaboration with security agencies, efforts to combat diseases, and his push for the establishment of a Federal Medical Center in Kafanchan and a Science University in Manchok.

The coalition urged critics to stop their attacks and allow the senator to continue his work for the region’s development.

According to him, “We have keenly been following events of the last few months where some individuals or a group of individuals have decided to launch a campaign of calumny against our respected senator by trying to smear his name and his hard earned reputation.

“We have decided that we will not sit back and watch insignificant, bitter minded and political business men who have not contributed anything to the development of our their communities,

“Region insult, malign and contemptuously keep misrepresenting facts just to get at our Senator for their selfish political interest
