The project announced that it has successfully re-enrolled 19,000 out-of-school adolescent girls, underscoring its commitment to improving access to quality education.

Speaking at the event, the Project Coordinator, Hajiya Aishatu Aliyu Isoga, lauded the contributions of women to national development.

She reaffirmed the project’s mission to enhance secondary education for girls by addressing critical challenges such as poverty, low educational value, and infrastructure deficits.

Key interventions under the AGILE Project include the construction of new schools, renovation of existing facilities, life skills training programs, and financial assistance for low-income households.

These initiatives, the project coordinator said aim to create a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for young girls.

Governor Abdullahi Sule, in his remarks, acknowledged the indispensable role of women in national development.

He also hinted at the possibility of a woman serving as Deputy Governor in the 2027 election cycle, signaling a move toward greater gender inclusion in leadership.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Accelerate Actions,” underscores the urgency of advancing gender equality.
