Reports from Gaza says Hamas has issued a dire warning that more than 700,000 Palestinians in Gaza are facing imminent death due to the Israeli blockade that prevents the entry of basic food and medicine.
According to Al Jazeera report, the Islamist group said that the Israeli occupation was “threatening the lives of the besieged citizens in the Gaza and northern governorates with death every moment”.
The report also quotes Hamas accusing the Arab world and the rest of the international community of being “suspiciously silent” over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which has been worsened by the recent war that killed over 20,000 people, mostly civilians.
The Palestinians of Gaza “still live on some hope that they will find someone in this world who will listen to their groans before it is too late”, Hamas said in a statement posted on Telegram.
According to the UN, Gaza is facing an unprecedented level of human suffering and devastation, with 41,000 houses destroyed or severely damaged, 18 hospitals shut down, and 1.5 million people displaced.
Food and water supplies are running perilously low, and the risk of disease outbreaks is high.
