The Military operation, Operation Safe Haven,OPSH, in Plateau, Bauchi and Southern parts of Kaduna State has stepped up campaign to achieve peace and safe farming season in the joint operations area (JOA).
In order to achieve this objective, it held a seminar at the 3 Division Auditorium, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Jos, with the theme “Peaceful Coexistence: Panacea for a Successful Farming Season.”

In a statement signed by Major Samson Zhakom, media information officer Operation Safe Haven, said the event brought together critical stakeholders from across the JOA, including government officials, security agencies, traditional rulers, farmers, herders, youth and women leaders, and civil society organizations.
Major General Abdusalam Abubakar, Commander of OPSH, emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence for a successful farming season and national development.

Resource persons stressed the need for tolerance, forgiveness, and respect for human life.
Governors of Plateau and Kaduna states, through their special Advisers on Peace Resolution, Retired Brigadier General Gaki Shippi and Atiku Sankye, respectively pledged their support to the security agencies in their continued efforts aimed at achieving peace.

Highlights of the seminar includes an interactive session, and presentation of patrol motorcycles to Neighborhood Watchers complementing security efforts.
