Bauchi State government has released 261 Million naira out of the 872 Million naira approved to the Primary Health Care Development Board for immunization and other PHC activities.
The State deputy governor Auwal Mohammed Jatau confirmed the release when the Bauchi State focal person of African Health Budget Network ( AHBN) and AFENET paid him a sideline advocacy to remind him of government’s promise of 872 million naira for immunization.
Auwal Jatau promised that the balance of the money will be released soon.
” So far the sum N261,708,491.00 million has been released to the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Board as promised by government “.

The AHBN Bauchi State Focal Person Dr Hassan Shuaibu Musa appreciated the Deputy Governor for his continued support to the Zero Dose Learning Hub implementation in the State.
The AFENET lead Dr Habila Ismaila and Mustapha Garba both acknowledged the role been played by the State government in ensuring that Immunization uptake is scaled up in Zero Dose and underserved communities .
The Zero Dose Learning Hub team had last year advocated for funding for immunization in 2025 which led to the government allocating 872 million naira . (www.krestnews.com)
