Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has drummed support for the administration of Gov. Abdullahi Sule, calling on political appointees to step up efforts to ensure the success of the administration.
The Speaker explained the need for all to support the Governor deliver dividends of democracy especially at the grassroots and for the overall development of the State.
The Speaker made the call during an empowerment programme organized by Mr Danlami Lawal Moroa, Personal Assistant to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on ICT today in Moroa community, Kokona LGA.
Speaker Jatau appreciated the Governor’s P A for putting smiles on the faces of the women and urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the funds.
” I want to appreciate Mr Lawal, the Governor’s Personal Assistant on ICT for this gesture. This is what we call give back to the people what the people have given you.
” What Mr Lawal is doing today is also an appreciation of what His Excellency has done to Moroa community.
” Mr Lawal is giving back to the people what he is getting from the Government of Engr. A A Sule on his own little way and this very important”, the Speaker told the community.
He called on others especially political appointees to emulate Lawal and initiate programmes at their communities no matter how small; saying it will go a long way in seeing to the success of the government.
Rt Hon Jatau appreciated Gov. Sule for his developmental strides in the state, especially in rural roads development in the state.
” His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has passion for development, He is a God sent Governor to the state at a time like this…
“He has written the name of Nasarawa State in gold and in the map of the world,” the Speaker said.
The Speaker said he will replied to the call by the people of Moroa community that he should contest for House of Representatives seat for Keffi/Karu/Kokona at an appropriate time.
” I want to appreciate you for your prayers and support. I will answer your replied to your call that I should contest for Reps seat in 2027 at an approximate time” he added.
Also speakings, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed Yahaya, Abubakar Dansoda and Mr Benjamin Baka, Forner Secretary, Teachers Service Commission all appreciated the Speaker of the state legislature for being up and doing in developing his constituency and the state at large.
They said Speaker Jatau is providing all inclusive leadership and purposeful representation in the House.
They, however, appealed for the employment and empowerment of the people of Moroa community, fencing of Primary School Moroa, construction of Moroa/ Ajuye/Mararaba Maisori road.
Earlier, Mr Danlami Lawal Moroa, the Personal Assistant (PA) on ICT to Gov. Abdullahi Sule said he decided to organize this event in order to empower the women of Moroa community financially and as his own modest way to appreciate them for every support to him and to the governor.
” This is to improve on their standard of living and for the overall development of Moroa community and Kokona LGA. Today I empowering 100 women with one million Naira”
Lawal then appeal to the people of Moroa and the State at large to continue to support the Speaker of the state legislature and Gov. Abdullahi Sule to enable them deliver on their mandates.
The Personal Assistant assured of his continued commitment to initiate good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of his people.
