Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule has swore in new Special Advisers with a charge on them to strive towards providing purposeful leadership for enhanced socio-economic development of the state.
The swearing in ceremony took place at the Late Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall at the Government House premises in Lafia the State capital Monday February 17th, 2025 amidst celebration from friends, family members and political associates in attendance.
” It is for this reason that we are particularly diligent on the choice of the appointees that we are bringing on board to support our development strides. This is in our desire to leave Nasarawa State far, better than we met it …
” I need to state that the implementation of government policies and programmes requires some advice, suggestions and guidance as the appointment of the Special Advisers will add value to our development endeavours. As their valuable advice will serve as stimulus towards improving the standard of living of our people ” The Governor explained.


He stressed that his administration will count on the rich and vast experiences of the newly sworn in Special Advisers in reinvigorating the state public service for enhanced productivity and efficiency.
The Governor equally inaugurated
Professor Mohammed Sanusi Liman as Chairman of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic and Members of the Polytechnic Governing Council with a charge on them to fast track modalities for appointment of a substantive Rector for the institution.

He disclosed that the inauguration of the Polytechnic Governing Council is part of his administration determination the required capacity to discharge it’s statutory responsibilities moving forward.
The Governor stressed that the constitution of the Members of the Polytechnic Governing Council is response to the report of Visitation Panel which reviewed the state of affairs of the institution.
” The inauguration today is intended to ensure that the institution regain it’s glory and I am optimistic that the Governing Council will give the Polytechnic the desired focus and direction that will put the institution on the right pedestal and ensure realization of it’s objectives …
” I charge the Governing Council especially the Chairman to quickly settle down and set machinery in motion for the appointment of a substantive Rector for the institution ” The Governor noted.
Engineer Sule equally urged members of the new Governing Council to learn from the past mistakes of previous governing councils for enhanced growth and development of the Polytechnic.
