The Governor of Nasarawa State Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has bagged the Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service, NEAPS for Rural Development for the year 2023.

A press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, says that Engr. Sule was presented with the Award by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, at an elaborate ceremony held at Conference Hall of the Aso Villa Abuja.

The statement further recalls that Governor Sule was a recipient of the award for Agricultural Development in 2022.

“The awards, organized in conjunction with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is to ‘celebrate and reward individuals that have made exceptional contributions to public service within the preceding year”.

It also seeks to “honour those who have demonstrated innovative approaches to addressing public challenges at the grassroots level”

    The modalities for selection for the award include eligibility for nomination and 7 criteria for recognition.

    Governor Abdullahi Sule was accompanied to the event by a delegation led by His Excellency Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel A. Akabe.

    Also on the delegation were Dist. Sen. Aliyu Wadada, Honourables Mohammed Ari and J.J Umaru, the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Danladi Jatau, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Labaran Magaji, the SSG Barr. Aliyu Ubandoma, the APC State Chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, NPC National Chairman Hon. Nasiru Kwarra, Former EVC NASENI Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna and the Esu Karu, HRH Pharm. Luka Panya Baba amongst others.
