Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni is expected to lead a State, Local Government delegation to Morocco a educational, agricultural and local government investment partnerships round table.

A statement signed by the DG media Mamman Mohammed stated that the secretary to the state govt Baba Wali has already proceeded with an advanced party to the Maghreb country to prepare for this all important round table.

The statement stated that the partnership between both countries and the state would explore areas of investment in the potentials abound in the state for employment generation and wealth Creation.

Agriculture is one of the priority areas of the Buni administration, driving economic recovery especially among the returnee communities.

Yobe State government last year launched a massive agricultural empowerment programme with over 100 tractors, hand tillers, harvesters, sprayers, fertilizer and many other farm Implements.

Also, the declaration of emergency on education by the state government would mean giving the sector a priority attention and strengthening the partnership between Yobe state and the Moroccan governments to boost entrepreneurial education in schools across the state.

Other, members in the advance team include, the Commissioner of Agriculture, Mustapha Goniri, Higher Education Prof. Bello Kawuwa, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Ibrahim Adamu Jajere, chairman Damaturu Local government Bukar Adamu, Dr. Salim Muhammad and Mamman Mohammed.(www.krestnews.com)
