Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has dissolved the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), including the office of its Secretary.
The dissolution was announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, on Friday.
According to the statement, the decision is part of Governor Bago’s renewed efforts to reposition and strengthen the education sector for greater efficiency, accountability, and improved service delivery across the state.
All members of the dissolved board, including the Secretary, have been directed to hand over official documents, assets, and responsibilities to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
Governor Bago appreciated the outgoing board members and the Secretary for their contributions to the growth and development of basic education in Niger State and wished them success in their future endeavors.
