A new Head of Civil Service has been appointed in Niger following the retirement of the former Head of Civil Service.
The State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago approved the appointment of Abubakar Sadiq Idris as the new Head of Service of Niger State
A statement issued by Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SGS), Alhaji Abubakar Usman on Tuesday explained that the appointment is with immediate effect.
He urged the new HOS to discharge his responsibility within the confines of civil service rules and regulations and also bring to bear his cognate experience in his new assignment.
He enjoined all Civil Servants in the state to support and cooperate with the new Head of Service with a view to consolidating the achievements of his predecessors.
Until his appointment, Abubakar Idris was the Permanent Secretary, General Services, in the office of SGS
He said, “Civil Servants in the State are enjoined to always exhibit values such as loyalty, probity, transparency and integrity in the discharge of their assigned duties”.
The SGS thanked the immediate past HOS, Engr. Abubakar Y. Salisu for his wonderful performances, describing his tenure as exceptional and rewarding.
