Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Central Nigeria has submitted nominations for appointment into key government boards and commissions to the State House of Assembly seeking approval.

Those nominated for appointment are Alhaji Mustapha Abdullahi Aliyu, former Commissioner for Information as Chairman, Local Government Service Commission (LGSC).

The Governor also nominated for appointment as members of the LGSC are Evangelist Zacharia Stephen Bariki and Umar Namama Laminga.

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau announced this during the House proceedings in Lafia today, Tuesday, April 15.

The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to communicate to the appointees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae(CV) on or before 28th of April, 2025, which is the date slated for their screening.

” Please Clerk you are to write to the appointees to submit 30 copies of their CV on or before 28th of April,2025″ he said.

The Speaker also announced that the Governor wrote to the House seeking screening and confirmation the nomination for appointment of Dr. Kasim Mohammed Kasim, a former lawmaker representing Akwanga South Constituency as Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Allanana Attah as Member 1, Hajiya Fatima Shuaibu Ahmad as Member 11 and Jibrin Egwa Nagambo (Ogaji) as Member 111 respectively.

The Speaker also directed the Clerk of the House to communicate to the appointees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae(CV) on or before 28th of April, 2025 and appear for screening.

In a separatedevelopment, the House passed into first reading A Bill For a Law to Make Provision For Regulating and Implementing Public Health Security Framework For Nasarawa State and Other Related Matters.

The Speaker announced the passage of the bill into first reading during the House Proceedings today in Lafia, and subsequently announced 30th April, 2025 as date for the second reading of the bill.

The Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Suleiman Yakubu Azara moved the motion for the bill to scale first reading which was seconded by the Minority Leader of the House, Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, and the bill was passed into second reading.(www.krestnews.com).
