The Nigeria Legion Nasarawa State Chapter have been gifted the sum of N25 Million as part of the Nasarawa State Government support to members to kick start 2025 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Governor Sule of Nasarawa State l made the donation while launching the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem.

The Governor explained that the day was set aside every year to remember the falling heroes for the optimal sacrifices they had made to keep the country indivisible.

He used to occasion to commiserate with President Bola Tinubu, Nigeria Army, over the death of Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff, and prayed to God to give his soul eternal rest.

The governor promised to continue to give priority to the welfare of the falling heroes and their families.

He, therefore, directed all government officials to support the ex-servicemen and continue to wear the 2025 emblem until the end of the celebration in January 2025.

The emblem was launched by the Nigerian Legion in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Ministry of Women and Social Development.

On her part, Haj. Aisha Eufa’i-Ibrahim, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, said that the ministry would continue to support the wives and children of the falling heroes to make their lives worthwhile.

She also called on spirited individuals and groups to support the families of the falling heroes, considering the supreme sacrifices they had made.

In his opening remarks, Col. Hamidu Almajiri (Retired), Nasarawa State Chairman of Nigerian Legion, said that the launch of the emblem was to remember their comrades and honor those still alive.

He explained that the legion has a responsibility to cater to the families of their falling comrades and appealed for support from the government and spirited individuals.

He, therefore, decorated the governor with the remembrance emblem. (www.Krestnews.com)
