Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger state has described the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar as a bridge-builder whose purposeful leadership has promoted, strengthened and sustained the age long rich cultural heritage of the Nupe Kingdom.
The Governor stated this in a congratulatory message to celebrate the monarch on his 21st anniversary on the throne and his 72nd birthday issued in Minna by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
He eulogised the revered traditional ruler and commended the fatherly role that the 13th Etsu Nupe has been playing not just among the Nupe-speaking people, but to everyone around him.
He said, “the unity and the display of high cultural values among your subjects, speaks volumes of your purposeful leadership and efforts at promoting, strengthening and sustaining the age-long rich cultural heritage of the Nupe Kingdom”.
He explained that the reign of Etsu Nupe has tremendously imparted positively on not only his subjects alone but diverse Nigerians around his Kingdom.
Eulogising the Monarch, Bago said, ” you are a bridge-builder, selfless, determined and caring leader, who always stands by his people”.
He also applauds the celebrant for leading other Traditional Rulers in the State to support policies and programmes of the present administration at all levels.
The farmer Governor prayed that Allah’s love and mercy will continue to be on the revered traditional ruler for more effective service to humanity. He also prayed that his reign will continue to be peaceful and successful.
