The federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna) has graduated 5816 students with 119 obtaining first class degrees.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta state this on Tuesday in a press Convocation press briefing in Minna
He said, ” it my pleasure to announce that we are graduating a total 5, 816 of students for the 2023/2024 academic session. These are made up of 4,955 undergraduates, 632 masters graduates, 105 post graduate Diplomas and 124 PhD recipients”.
According to him, 119 students graduated with first class while 1431 got Second Class Upper. 2341 got Second class lower , 972 with third class while 92 got pass degrees.
He said that the University has introduced 13 new academic programmes, adding that the the programmes have been assessed and endorsed by the National University Commission (NUC).
According to him, ” we have successfully implemented e-learning platforms to enhance teaching delivery. A retreat for lectures focused on integration of modern tools into pedagogy, ensuring our graduates are equipped to meet the challenges of a digital age”.
The Vice Chancellor explained that the convocation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday February 1, 2025 adding that the main event would be preceded by other activities including Scientific Research Exhibition on Thursday January 30th 2025.
He explained other activities lined up for the Convocation to include commissioning of projects on 31st January 2025 namely Central workshop and Foundry, Architectural studio and Students Hostels.
