In a bold move to tackle unemployment and empower young people, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to partner with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to expand job creation and vocational empowerment initiatives across the state.

Governor Fubara made the pledge while receiving the Director-General of NDE, Mr. Silas Agara, and his team during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Thursday.

He emphasized that his administration will not relent in ensuring that federal empowerment initiatives—especially the Renewed Hope Empowerment Initiative—reach every corner of the state, uplifting youths and artisans with practical skills and entrepreneurial support.

“Our government understands that youth empowerment is the foundation of peace and prosperity. We will continue to partner with the NDE to ensure no willing hand remains idle in Rivers State,” Fubara assured.

In response, Mr. Silas Agara commended Governor Fubara’s visionary approach, describing him as a “digitally aware leader committed to sustainable youth empowerment.” He outlined the NDE’s ongoing skill acquisition programs designed to mentor entrepreneurs and equip them for modern economic realities.

Agara also assured staff at the NDE Rivers office of his determination to improve their welfare and create an enabling work environment for productivity.

With this renewed collaboration, both the NDE and Rivers State Government are charting a new course for grassroots development, job creation, and youth self-reliance—key pillars in building a more prosperous and productive society. Follow www.krestnews.com for more reports
