Four persons suspected to be armed robbers have been killed in road accident, while was arrested by the Nasarawa Police Command.
The Four suspects reportedly died in a road crash on Tuesday while trying to evade arrest while one that survived the crash was promptly arrested by the police.
The Nasarawa State Police Command says, in a statement issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, Nansel Ramhan,the Command has recorded a breakthrough in the fight against crime by arresting of a robbery suspect and the recovery of stolen vehicles and other items.

According to a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel and made available to newsmen on Tuesday said: “On March 25, 2025, at about 03:00 hours, the Command received a distress call reporting an armed robbery incident at a residential area behind the stadium in Keffi local government area of the State…
“Upon receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Mohammed immediately directed operatives to pursue the fleeing suspects. Although they had escaped before the arrival of the police, officers strategically tracked their suspected escape route.
“Nemesis, however, caught up with the robbers when the stolen vehicle they had snatched at gunpoint was involved in a fatal accident at Bola Junction, along the Keffi-Abuja Expressway, as they attempted to evade arrest.

“Following the crash, police operatives attached to Goshen City Division swiftly rushed the five occupants of the stolen Ash colour Toyota Camry with registration number ABC 621 CV to Johepz Medical Centre, Kuchikau, for urgent medical attention.
“Unfortunately, four of them were confirmed dead by a medical doctor, while one, identified as Hussaini Mohammed ‘M’ 25yrs of Uke, was arrested and is currently receiving medical treatment under police watch.
“Preliminary investigations confirmed that the Toyota Camry was stolen from one Udochi Emeka ‘M’, residing behind the stadium in Keffi.”
He disclosed that further search led to the recovery of some items including charms, Two long knives, Screwdrivers, Several wristwatches, and 12 mobile phones of different brands”, he said.

Others items also recovered are one Access Bank ATM card belonging to Lydia Olabode Kemi
SP Ramhan Nansel is quote in the statement saying the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command is reiterating Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order. “He has further directed operatives to sustain the ongoing crackdown on criminals to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
“The Command urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station”.
