Nasarawa State Government has called on the people of Duglu Chiefdom to champion peace and development in their Domain.
Governor Abdullahi Sule made the call at the funeral Service of the foremost traditional ruler, Zhe-Duglu, Jonathan Gule Iwala which took place at the Duglu Community on Saturday.
It was a triumphant entering of the live less body of Jonathan Gule lwala as dignitaries from all works of life converged on Saint Mary Roman Catholic Primary School to pay their last respect to the second class Ruler who ruled for Forty-Six years.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, represented by the State Commissioner of Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mohammed Iyimoga, said the demise of the paramount ruler was a collosal one to the state, noting that his pro-activeness has brought progress to Migili Chiefdom.
The Governor who admitted that Jonathan Gule Iwala towering legacies will stand the test of time, encouraged Duglu Community to leave in peace assuring of government’s presence especially at the grassroots.
Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Danladi Jatau apart from identifying with the Migili Nation over the demise of the Zhe-Duglu, described the deceased as a man whose agenda was to see to the development of his community, eulogizing his contributions at the state traditional council meeting.
Speaking on behalf of the Migili Traditional Council,the Zhe-Migili,Dr Ayuba Agwadu Audu described the late Monarch as progressive and courageous, whose foresight added value not only to Duglu Community but the state at large, a submission supported by the President Koro Community in Nigeria,Kasimu Mohammed.
State CAN Chairman whose message was delivered by the ERCC President,Very Rev.Dave Danji and former Anglican Bishop of Lafia, Mila Maza, the Church will greatly miss his fatherly impact on the Church and drew the attention of believers to live with eternity in view.
In a short exotation, Anglican Bishop of Lafia Diocese, Right Reverend Godwin Adeyi Robinson said death is an appointment to all and does not discriminate, appealing to believers to mend their ways because they will give account of their stewardship.

The Zhe-Duglu Jonathan Gule Iwala died at the age of Seventy-Four years after ruling for Forty-Six years, leaving behind Seven wives, forty-four Children and eighty-five grand children.
