The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has reaffirmed the commitment of the President Bola Tinubu’s led Federal government to address healthcare and other challenges in the country.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Humanitarian and Poverty alleviation Delu Yakubu Bulus stated this during a medical outreach carried out under the Faith-Hill Prophetic Assembly in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

Delu went further to explain that the essence of the programme is to keep faith with the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr President and to give hope to all regardless of social or economic status, saying that is why “She is everywhere in Nigeria touching the lives of people, communities, students, those with health challenges and in every aspect of Humanitarian service,so that is why we need to stretch ourselves and be here to support her to flag off this initiative”.

The medical outreach which saw the outpour of individuals who need medical attention, had in attendance Minister of State for Education Tahir Maman and that of Agriculture Dr Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi amongst others lending their support

Speaking in support of the medical outreach, the Ministers admitted that one of the challenges affecting Nigerians over time has been in the area of healthcare sector.

They commended the SSA and the Church for coming up with such a laudable initiative by complimenting government efforts in that direction with a view to reducing the healthcare challenge being experience by the vulnerable in the society.

They encouraged Nigerians to prioritize their health by adhering to medical advices, noting that the present administration of Bola Tinubu will continue to give priority to the health sector.

“And to justify the vision of Mr President, we should have a Nigeria where no man go to bed hungry and this event is signifying that we are aware of all this kind of people in the country.”

Flagging off the Medical outreach at the Faith-Hill Vocational Centre, the SSA to the President on Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Delu Yakubu Bulus explained that it was aimed at giving hope to Nigerians who are passing through tremendous health needs emphasizing the importance of healthy living.

” In line with the vision of Mr President, he said no one should be left behind and that is why we are here”.

While thanking Faith-Hill Assembly for the platform to operate, the SSA to the President assured of steps taking by the federal government to reduce poverty in the land and called for patience in the midst of economic reality.

Speaking on behalf of other development partners, President Sam Empowerment Foundation Aisha Achimugu encouraged beneficiaries to take full advantage of the services within the three days of the event to foster a healthier and more equitable society.

The Presiding Bishop, Faith-Hill prophetic Assembly Abuja, Archbishop Professor Emmanuel Musa Jatau, it was a delight for the vulnerable to have their health checked stating that the vision of the church by extension was to give healing to the sick and appealed to government to roll out measures to cushion the plights of Nigerians.

” As a matter of fact, if you see the faces of people today, many in the present day Nigeria have no money to go to the hospital and suddenly my spiritual daughter came with this initiative to treat about two thousand people free daily for three days”.

Archbishop Jatau added that aside the medical outreach, food and clothing are part of the items shared and explained that the Church Vocational Centre is for the unemployed to learn skills with a view to becoming self reliant.

The Presiding Bishop of the Faith-Hill Assembly Archbishop Professor Emmanuel Musa Jatau drew the attention of the Federal Government to place premium on Agriculture and security given the level of hunger visible in the country and the resultant effect on the society.

The beneficiaries who are mostly people with disabilities commended the SSA to the President and the Church for remembering them in this difficult moment and re-echoed the call on the Federal and States government to genuinely roll out measures to ameliorate basic needs of Nigerians.
