Hon JJ.Umaru co sponsor of the bill

The signing into law of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been described as a milestone development for the geo political region.

A press statement signed by a former commissioner of information, culture and tourism, Hon. Dogo Shammah says the commission will serve as a game changer for the region in terms of development.

While speaking on the merit of the commission, Hon Dogo said “You will recall that president of the Nigeria Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio announced on Tuesday during plenary the coming onboard of the commission, which I believe will provide sustainable life achievements to citizenry”.

He expressed confidence that the NCDC will be a game changer for the region which has in the past not felt Federal Government presence in terms of projects execution despite its laudable contributions to the development of the country.

"It is no more a doubt that the sponsor of the bill, member representing Akw/N.Eggon and Wamba federal constituency at the National Assembly Hon. Jerry Umaru, has again proved his commitment to the well being of his constituents as a people's ambassador at the National Assembly.

"Your consistent engagements at the floor of the National Assembly always makes your constituents proud as you have proved your worthiness and competence...

"I believe that the NCDC  will strengthen the economy and infrastructural development of the zone as white as accelerate social engagements for the well-being of the people of the North Central Zone".

Hon Dogo also used the forum to commend the Governor of Nasarawa State, Eng. A.A Sule, for his continued support to the Federal lawmaker, representing Akwanga-Nasarawa Eggon and Wamba Federal Constituency.

He said the citing of the headquarters of the commission in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital is a well thought out choice considering the peacefull and friendly nature of Nasarawa State the people.(www.krestnews.com).
