Liberal Group of friends,a non governmental organization engaged in the promotion of socio-economic welfare of it’s members, has applauded the state governor Engr. Abdulahi A Sule for his dogged commitment to reposition the erstwhile College of Agriculture Lafia to citadel of academic excellence.
The group gave the commendation while speaking during solidarity and congratulating visit to one of its friends, Dr. Vincent Aya who was recently appointed the Deputy Rector of the Institution, College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia.
According to the group, the change of the Institution from a monotechnic to a polytechnic is a clear demonstration of government Sule’s visionary leadership in the education sector.
This, the group said, is further demonstrated by the calibre of people appointed to pioneer the implementation of the State Government vision for the Institution
Chairman Liberal Friends, Danjuma Michael Kuju who led other friends expressed felicitations with their friend, Dr Vincent Aya for his appointment, saying he is well fitted, describing further that he was a round peg in a round hole.
He reminded their friend, that his appointment is a demonstration of government confidence and especially that of his principal who accept to work with him as his deputy,and urged him not to disappoint his principal, the State Government and his friends.
While thanking the Rector for finding one of their friends worth partnering in the development of the Institution at this critical period, they assured him of the sterling qualities and loyal of their friend whom they say would not let him down.
They used the forum to reassure their friend of their support and willing to contribute to his success and he should not hesitate to seek for advice whenever necessary.
Speaking, the Deputy Rector, Dr Vincent Aya said he was overwhelmed with joy by their visit and solidarity.
“I am most honoured by this show of love my dear friends” Dr Aya said.
He equally ceased the opportunity to thank the State Government and the Rector for for finding him worthy to serve the Institution and the State as a whole and promised not to disappoint the trust and confidence
He appeal to his friends not fail to draw his attention should he be derailing in anyway.
He thanked them for finding time to visit and identify with him in a moment like this, saying it is a memory of a life time.
The friends presented him with a congratulatory card before departing.
