Ovie of Otuo, His Royal Majesty, Godfrey Aigbogun Alabi Uzoyari II

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has approved and issued letter of recognition to the traditional ruler of Otuo Kingdom, His Royal Highness the Ovie of Otuo, Godfrey Aigbogun Alabi, the Uzoyari II.

The royal father stated this at the weekend in a special appreciation to the people of Otuo and the state government on his peaceful ascension to the throne.

The Ovie of Otuo in the appreciation letter titled, “Special Gratitude To The Good People of Otuo”, also gave glory to God for the seamless and unprecedented Chieftaincy Transition in Otuo land.

He said, “I am glad to formally inform you that the Edo State Government has graciously confirmed and officially recognized/approved my appointment and ascension to the throne of our forefathers as the Ovie of Otuo Clan”.

While thanking the people of Otuo for their overwhelming support and prayers, the monarch appeal to them to continue to live in harmony and peace for rapid development of the kingdom.

Meanwhile it is reported that the people of Otuo received the news of the Governor’s recognition of the monarch with jubilations and prayers for his peaceful and long reign on the throne.

In a congratulatory message to the monarch at the weekend, the President of Otuo Union National, Charles Ojeabuo described the momentous occasion as a testament to the rich heritage and enduring legacy of the forefathers of Otuo land.

While expressing gratitude to the Edo state government for the timely confirmation of the appointment of Chief Godfrey Aigbogun Alabi as the Ovie of Otuo Uzoyari II, the National President assured that the sons and daughters of Otuo will continue to work tirelessly for the development of their clan

Meanwhile, Krestnews reports that Chief Godfrey Aigbogun Alabi ascended the throne recently in a peaceful traditional rulership transition in accordance with the customs and culture of Otuo clan from the Isiokha/Ighera ruling house.
